Rhode Island Launches Grant Program to Help Small Businesses Reduce Energy Costs!
Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee and Rhode Island Commerce have announced the launch of the RI Rebounds Energy Efficiency Program, a new grant initiative designed to help small businesses in the state reduce their energy costs. The program will provide reimbursements of up to $10,000 for energy efficiency measures implemented as a result of an energy assessment or audit.
The RI Rebounds Energy Efficiency Program aims to support small businesses with less than $2 million in gross annual revenue. A total of $600,000 has been allocated to assist these businesses with energy efficiency upgrades, such as insulation, rooftop unit controls, electric panel upgrades, and ventilation improvements.
As a former small business owner, Governor McKee understands the impact of energy costs on a business's bottom line. By incentivizing a greener and more sustainable business environment, the program seeks to provide relief to small businesses while promoting energy efficiency in the state.
