Main Street Texarkana Awards $4,000 Revitalization Grant to Crystal Moon Metaphysical Boutique.
Main Street Texarkana, a non-profit organization dedicated to combining economic development with historic preservation, has awarded a $4,000 Downtown Revitalization Grant to Crystal Moon Metaphysical Boutique. The funds will be used to repair the roof of the historic building located at 209 E. Broad Street in the heart of downtown Texarkana, Arkansas.
The grant is part of Main Street Texarkana's ongoing efforts to support the restoration of landmark buildings in the city's original commercial district, which dates back to the 1880s. The check presentation took place earlier this week, with Main Street Texarkana's director Ina McDowell and board president Dr. Brian Matthews presenting the check to Crystal Moon's owner, Sheila Lemley. They were joined by Main Street Texarkana board members April Jones, Rashinda Hampton, Jason Williams, and Philip Mobley.
Ina McDowell praised the unique visions that business owners like Sheila Lemley bring to Texarkana's historic buildings, helping to preserve the city's character and boost the downtown economy. Crystal Moon is one of many businesses that have moved downtown in recent years, contributing to the area's revitalization.
